I am so incredibly ecstatic to have received my first voxbox and for it to have been from Marc jacobs beauty! All for free to review from @influenster!
This voxbox includes two of the highliner matte gel eye crayons, one in Deja blue (a sky blue lighter shade) & one in (Earth)quake (a dusky brown shade) both of which are retailed at £20 each.
Firstly the packaging is beautiful! I love how stylish it is! AND it’s not a typical ‘sharpen me’ pencil, it’s a TWIST TOP! how cool is that, I don’t tend to like eye pencils that you have to sharpen all the time (plus I’m lazy & don’t have a sharpener either).
They are a super smooth creamy texture and so easy to apply, plus they don’t crease like I thought they would if put it on the eye as a shadow or cut crease line, I’m very impressed. I love that these pencils are a MATTE product and therefore somewhat waterproof with a 12 hour long wear time to them!
I wore mine for a whole day and they were still going when I needed to go bed! No smudging or transfer! & I have those hooded eyelids so eye products are difficult for me sometimes.
I would suppose you could use these eye pencils for a wing liner as well as in the waterline using a brush as the product has excellent staying power and is much easier to glide on than some liquid liners however they don’t give a sharp edge so a brush or some way to neaten the line is necessary.
They blend okay too, also as they are so pigmented you don’t have to use a lot of product so that’s a bonus! Needless to say I’m super happy with these products.
